Candid Taylor was born and raised in Flint, Michigan. She is a graduate of the illustrious Clark Atlanta University and holds two Masters of Arts in Children's Literature and Adult Education and Training. When Candid is not teaching adults about children's literature and visual literacy she is writing for children.

 

Candid currently has two books. Oh Brother, Little Brother, winner of the 2020 Sliver Moonbeam Award and Unapologetic Hair. Candid currently lives in Atlanta, GA with her two daughters Chandler (10) and Aubrey (8).
